Seek is a values-based platform for modern faith. We help seekers discover and compare spiritual traditions based on real compatibility—not just beliefs, but identity, lifestyle, community, and values. For faith communities, Seek provides tools to build trust, inclusivity, trauma-informedness; understand why people le…
I’m building Seek because choosing a spiritual or faith tradition is an incredibly personal decision, but there’s surprisingly little support for making it intentionally. Many people want spirituality, community, and meaning without compromising their values. Seek helps people navigate the enormous landscape of traditions and find a spiritual home that genuinely fits who they are.
I’m especially looking for feedback on the core concept and matching experience: Does the problem resonate? What would you need to trust a recommendation about something as personal as faith? What feels missing, uncomfortable, or unclear? And ultimately—would you actually use this?

What's working?
Love the idea. Deeply resonates with me and a big challenge I see on the path. I know so many people that struggle to find the right path for them and end up in the wrong communities and get discouraged.
What's not yet landing?
I found myself confused with the prototype. What does Seeker 1, 2, 3, etc. mean? how do you actually do the matching and framework.
What would you want next?
I think it will be important to build trust before doing any sort of matching. As you said in your description, it is a really important personal decision. I would suggest starting the UX by explaining the framework to build trust with the user before giving them any sort of recommendations. And I am finding myself very curious about how you are planning to build this! It is a tricky problem to solve.
What's working? - It is a relevant problem to solve as I feel there are any seekers who struggle to find the right path for them relevant for their current season of life. What's not yet landing? - How the matching is happening exactly? what does a path mean for the user - is it a combination of beliefs, practices, knowledge, etc moreover, correlation with many paths - is also confusing - if a user sees 95% with path 1 and 90% with path 2 - what happens in user's experience? What would you want next? - what does a user do after getting recommended a path? what is the core value proposition?
The problem of finding resonant traditions across the vast array out there is meaningful to solve - could you turn this into a handy quiz that people complete - seems a way to test and could go viral. Like your dual sided thinking around operational tools for traditions - gives them support they need to match up with modern seekers - cool idea. I've seen church operational tools for digital prayers, communications, etc but not the feature set you've described around inclusivity, trauma, etc!
Very cool - excited to see this develop
How do you capture the felt experience of these communities as part of screening or later in the top matches - do you showcase videos or scriptures from them to see how people resonate - e.g. Plum village's Thich Nhat Hahn is so beautifully spoken.
