Pragmatic Dharma is an intelligent meditation app rooted in hardcore Buddhist lineage. Guided talks and meditations combine with live, facilitated multiplayer meditations, teacher-led training cohorts, and AI-driven personalized recommendations, to help deepen your practice.
I am building this because, as a Dharma and meditation teacher for the past 16 years who is interested in integrating contemporary technology into the sangha stack, I am finding with our current moment of AI-enhanced everything that building our own app just makes a lot of sense. It takes the years of product development and design work that I have done to develop something that can support what we are already doing in this community of practice, helping it grow and develop. Now we are ready to share it more broadly for those who want to take advantage, especially of the free things we are offering in the app: • Free recordings • Most importantly, free multiplayer meditation sessions facilitated by real human beings, which is a novel and innovative type of relational meditation methodology that we are sharing here for free.
Beyond the normal feedback on functionality around the app and how it could be improved, I'm really looking for feedback and input on your experience of doing live multiplayer meditation in the app. Specifically, I would love to hear about: • What it's like to do it as an audio-based experience • How the facilitation is • What it's like doing it with others • What the different techniques yield for you • How the times are Any suggestions you would make on anything around the free offerings of the app would be welcome. Of course, that just requires you to set up an account, not to pay anything.
Anything you share reaches the builder. A few places to start:
