Negativa is philosophical software for exploring the contradictions and tensions that shape our inner lives. Through structured Encounters, it helps people see how their thoughts, values, and intuitions take form—and discover new ways of understanding themselves.
Most reflective tools ask people to track their moods, improve their habits, or arrive at an answer. But many of our most important questions remain alive because two real needs or values pull against each other. I’m building Negativa to help people stay with those contradictions long enough for the deeper shape of their thinking to become visible. It brings philosophical practice into everyday life without turning reflection into therapy, advice, or self-optimization. Over time, separate Encounters form a developing picture of how a person thinks, changes, and meets the world.
I’m especially interested in whether the Readings feel genuinely illuminating rather than generic; where the Encounter creates useful friction or unnecessary friction; and whether the language feels philosophically serious while remaining accessible. I’d also like to hear from philosophical practitioners, coaches, educators, and other builders who can imagine using Negativa within their own work.
