Overview

UCSF research program studying psychedelics - psilocybin, LSD, MDMA and ketamine as treatments for depression, chronic pain and other serious conditions.

The Translational Psychedelic Research (TrPR) Program at UCSF brings together scientists and clinicians to investigate psychedelics as potentially transformative treatments for the most serious unmet medical needs. Directed by Dr. Joshua Woolley, it pairs basic neuroscience on mechanisms of action with clinical trials of psilocybin, LSD, MDMA and ketamine across conditions including depression (including in Parkinson's disease and bipolar disorder), chronic low-back pain, and anxiety.
