fNIRS neurofeedback headset and app that trains focus through real-time brain training games
Mendi is a wearable neurofeedback headset that measures blood flow and oxygenation in the prefrontal cortex using fNIRS technology. It pairs with an app that turns live brain signal into a training game to build focus and attention.
The company grew out of a neurofeedback clinic in Stockholm run by co-founders Rickard Eklöf and Sammy Saldjoghi, launching record-breaking Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns that raised around €3 million and shipped over 10,000 devices. Mendi reports more than 72,000 users and 2.5 million training sessions completed, and received EU Horizon 2020 research funding.
