The Heffter Research Institute is a pioneering nonprofit that has funded and designed leading psilocybin studies at top institutions examining therapeutic applications for cancer distress, addiction, and spiritual development. Named after 19th-century pharmacologist Arthur Heffter, it was established in 1993 when government funding for psychedelic science was unavailable.
