The Center for Contemplative Science and Compassion-Based Ethics is a research center at Emory University that develops educational programs and conducts research on compassion and contemplative practice. Formed in 2017 from the earlier Emory-Tibet Partnership, it houses CBCT (Cognitively-Based Compassion Training), the SEE Learning curriculum - a K-12 social, emotional, and ethical learning curriculum, and the Emory-Tibet Science Initiative. Its work grew out of a collaboration between Emory University and the Dalai Lama dating to 1998, led by Executive Director Dr. Lobsang Tenzin Negi.
